ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) - State prosecutors planned to reveal more about an investigation into the deaths of two men whose bodies were found in a burning vehicle in Oxford last year.
Hartford residents David Rivera, 36, and Carlos Calderon, 39, were found in the car off of Route 34 during the early morning hours of May 30, 2024 .
The Office of the Chief State’s Attorney planned to make an announcement about the case during a 10 a.m. news conference in Rocky Hill.
Rivera’s death was ruled a homicide because he had a gunshot wound to the head, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Calderon’s cause of death was said to be a homicide, but the exact cause was not released.
The scene was not far from the Stevenson Dam.
