TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Florida's minimum wage rose on Tuesday.
Voters approved a gradual increase in 2020, which bumps up the minimum wage by $1 on Sept. 30 each year until it reaches $15 per hour.
After that, it will be adjusted yearly based on inflation.
On Tuesday, the state's minimum wage grew to $14 per hour. The new required cash wage for tipped employees is $10.98, not factoring in any tips they may receive.
Florida's minimum wage will hit $15 per hour next year.
