New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release a commemorative postage stamp and coin to mark the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday, October 1. As the chief guest, he will also address volunteers and dignitaries gathered for the centenary celebrations at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.

On Thursday, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will mark a milestone few organisations reach: 100 years of its inception. Born on Vijayadashmi in 1925 under the guidance of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur, the Sangh has grown from a small volunteer group into one of India’s most influential organisations and is now celebrating its centenary.
