NEW YORK — The Yankees ended the regular season on Sunday with a win over the Orioles that made it eight in a row, 14 of 17, 30 of 41.

That left them with 94 wins for the second year in a row, which tied for the most in the league but wasn’t good enough to repeat as AL East champions. Because the Blue Jays’ 94 wins included beating the Yankees eight times in 13 games, Aaron Judge and Co., settled for the first wild-card spot, which has them in a best-of-three Wild Card Series against the Red Sox.
