A woman in Memphis , Tennessee, allegedly offered a ride to a father and his two young kids before kidnapping them and attacking the dad when they tried to escape.

Latrica Allen, 40, is charged with kidnapping and misdemeanor assault for the alleged Sunday incident. It began as a dad and his two children — ages 5 and 2 — were walking down a city street.

The suspect pulled up to the family of three, who were walking south on Overton Crossing Street near Frayser Boulevard, and offered them a ride, according to an affidavit of complaint reviewed by Law&Crime. The father offered her $20, and he and his kids got inside.
