GB News breakfast presenter Eamonn Holmes delivered a sharp ten-word remark about marriage whilst discussing Nicole Kidman's separation from country music star husband Keith Urban . The 65-year-old and his co-presenter Ellie Costello, 31, were covering the break up when Ellie remarked she found it rather heartbreaking: "I think that's very sad. They've got two children together.." ‌

But Eamonn, whose marriage to Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford broke down in May 2024, interrupted her saying: "None of us know (what went on). The two of them could have despised each other and absolutely wanted to walk away from each other and we think it's awful...We don't know!". ‌
