GRAND BLANC TWP, MI – A 21-year-old Flint man was arrested after driving through a barricade on McClandish Road at the church shooting crime scene in Grand Blanc Township.

The incident is under investigation by the Grand Blanc Township Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to Grand Blanc Township Chief William Renye.

The man allegedly drove through a barricade shortly before noon on Monday, Sept. 29.

It is unclear if there is any connection between the suspect and the mass killing at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday, Sept. 28, Renye said.

McClandish Road has been shut down since the shooting and fire took place Sunday morning, with limited access to law enforcement personnel and other first responders.
