WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has begun serving a four-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

In October 2024, Cutler was arrested in Franklin after police responded to a minor traffic collision, where he had rear-ended another vehicle. He allegedly attempted to flee the scene after offering the other driver $2,000 to not call the police, documents state.

Cutler was observed with blood shot eyes and was slurring his words, according to court documents. He allegedly initially told police he did not consume any alcohol, but then said he had “a little bit” when questioned further. He was charged with DUI and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
