CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) - Cleveland Guardians prospect Chase DeLauter was named to the roster for the American League Wild Card Series against the Detroit Tigers.

He is rated as Cleveland's No. 2 overall prospect and the No. 54 overall prospect in all of Major League Baseball.

His first appearance in a game would mark his Major League debut.

This season, DeLauter has appeared in 34 games at Triple-A Columbus. He is batting .278 with five home runs, eight doubles and 21 RBI.

He was originally selected by Cleveland with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft out of James Madison.
