YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Youngstown State returns to action after back-to-back road games and a bye week, with No. 2 South Dakota State coming to town.

"We always look at ways of how you measure toughness. Going on the road to get a win measures toughness," YSU head coach Doug Phillips said. "But also when you're playing ranked teams in your own house, that's a good measurement of how tough you are."

The No. 18 Penguins enter Missouri Valley Conference play at 3-1, the best start for the program since 2019 after a win on the road that included a game-winning field goal to complete a 14-point comeback against Towson.
