Shillong, Sept 30: In a significant step towards digital transformation, the Meghalaya Cabinet has launched the e-Cabinet system, marking a shift towards paperless governance.
Addressing media persons after the meeting today, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced that the new system will enable the cabinet to function entirely online, making the decision-making process more efficient, secure, and paperless.
He said that the e-Cabinet system allows cabinet ministers to access and review documents, agendas, and past decisions online through secure and designated gadgets. The system provides access to past cabinet decisions, enabling research and reference on subject-wise basis.
