MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Tuesday morning marks the seventh day of the trial, coming after state prosecutors rested their case against the man accused of killing his girlfriend and throwing their two-day-old baby into the Mississippi River in 2022.

The accused, Brandon Isabelle, has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including two counts of first-degree murder. If convicted, Isabelle will spend life in prison without the possibility of parole.

While in court, Isabelle decided not to testify. Defense attorneys then rested their case.
