ATLANTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Georgia Supreme Court on Tuesday affirmed the convictions of two men in a 2019 Emanuel County murder.

Jerel Bostic and Timothy Wright appealed their convictions of felony murder and other crimes in connection with the shooting death of Jamichael Walker.

Ga. high court rejects appeal in dad’s 2020 Augusta murder

The Georgia Supreme Court on Tuesday turned down the appeal of a convict in the March 2020 murder of an Augusta father as he left work at the Popeye’s in Daniel Village.

The crimes occurred on March 27, 2019, during a fight outside a game room where gambling was taking place, according to prosecutors.

In August 2021, an Emanuel County grand jury indicted Bostic, Wright and Da’Korey Somerville for felony murder predicated on attempted armed robbery
