A man riding an electric bicycle is dead after colliding with an SUV on Interstate 93 in Concord, state police said.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. Monday near Exit 14 on the southbound side.

The man who died was identified as Keerati Nakklee, of Concord.

After conducting an investigation, police believe Nakklee tried to cross the highway at the top of the Exit 14 off-ramp when the driver of the SUV merged onto the ramp and collided with the e-bike.

The off-ramp was temporarily closed after the crash while police investigated.

Police said no other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.

Police said it is not known why Nakklee was on the highway with the e-bike.
