SPRINGFIELD, Mass. —
A Massachusetts man has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after having been convicted in the death of his second wife, after having previously been convicted in the death of his first wife 40 years earlier.
Kenneth Robson, 68, of Springfield, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2024 killing of his wife, Quitiza Holmes, Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni said.
In April 2024, Robson called 911 to tell Springfield police he needed an ambulance because “he hit his wife with a hammer and she might be dead.”
Holmes was found face down in a pool of blood with catastrophic head injuries and defensive wounds. She died weeks later in May.
Robson told investigators he blamed unexpected reactions to drugs for his actions.
