San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan suggested on Monday that starting quarterback Brock Purdy re-aggravated a previous toe injury during the 26-21 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that dropped the 49ers to 3-1 on the season this past Sunday.

During a Tuesday appearance on San Francisco Bay Area sports radio station KNBR, 49ers general manager John Lynch offered an update on Purdy's status for the club's upcoming "Thursday Night Football" game at the 3-1 Los Angeles Rams.
