A Glasgow landlord has been hit with a severe warning after her west end flat was rented 'without insurance.'

The property management firm running a house in multiple occupation (HMO) at 31 Kersland Street for Sahar Davodi missed the licence renewal date — but continued to let out the eight rooms.

Ms Davodi was refused a new HMO licence in May but has now secured one, after appealing to the Sheriff of Glasgow and Strathkelvin.

Her case was remitted back to the council’s licensing committee , which, after hearing from her lawyer, granted a restricted one-year licence. Councillors also issued a severe warning over the future management of the premises.
