FREEPORT, Ill. — FHN has made major changes to the future of its organization.

On Tuesday, FHN agreed to affiliate with Mercyhealth in a Freeport press conference. FHN says it will benefit from joining Mercyhealth with more efficient resource use, cost savings and reinvestment, and greater cost advantages. The move comes after FHN ended its partnership with a hospital project in Roscoe .

FHN President and CEO Mark Gridley emphasized the move's importance for the local community. "By joining forces with Mercyhealth, we are taking an active step to preserve and strengthen care for our patients,” said Gridley.
