Alfredo Parrish, an attorney representing Des Moines Schools Superintendent Ian Roberts, is expected to provide an update on Roberts' case.

Parrish has not said what he plans to discuss or what information may be provided to the public during the news conference.

Roberts, 54, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents on Friday, Sept. 26 . He has been held at the Woodbury County Jail since Friday and faces allegations that he is in the country illegally.

In the time since, he has been placed on administrative leave by the district and the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners revoked his administrator license .

During a meeting to move his leave status from paid to unpaid on Monday, Sept. 29, the Des Moines School Board gave Roberts until noon Tuesday to clarify
