After suffering a massive blow to its secondary last week, Iowa State football has taken another one.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Cyclones head coach Matt Campbell announced that Jontez Williams will miss the remainder of the 2025 season with an ACL injury.
Williams went down with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of Iowa State's 39-14 victory over Arizona on Sept. 27.
"We lost Tez, Tez is going to be out for the year," Campbell said. "That's a situation that really stinks for the kid, but man, just how he's handled it has been uber-impressive. Great human, and he'll be back, ready to rock and roll next year."
The redshirt junior cornerback had 15 total tackles, two pass breakups and an interception through the Cyclones' 5-0 start. Looking for a free mini puzzle? Play the US
