IOWA CITY — The status of Iowa football quarterback Mark Gronowski remains unclear after suffering an injury against Indiana.
“All injured players are working hard to get back," Iowa offensive coordinator Tim Lester said Sept. 30. "(I) don’t know Mark’s status yet. It’s cloudy. We don’t need to know, though, because it’s a bye week.”
On a third-and-long in the fourth quarter of the Sept. 27 game, Gronowski scrambled out of the pocket and went down with an injury . After spending some time in the medical tent, Gronowski warmed up but did not return to the game. Backup quarterback Hank Brown entered in his place. The Hawkeyes sorely missed Gronowski's presence in crunch time as Indiana came away with a 20-15 victory.
