(WTVY) - The Alabama Forestry Commission (AFC) announced Tuesday that they are issuing a statewide Fire Danger Advisory.
Recently, drought across Alabama has worsened due to extremely dry conditions caused by low rainfall totals and high temperatures.
In the latest drought monitor map released on September 25, outside of a couple of pockets in the far-north portion of the state and one in Elmore and Montgomery counties, the entire state is currently experiencing abnormal to severe drought conditions, with the most intense conditions being in and around Marengo County and around the border of Chambers and Lee counties.
