Portland has lifted a citywide burn ban that’s been in effect since early summer, fire officials announced Tuesday.

The city’s Fire Marshal had issued the ban June 23 amid rising high temperatures and limited rainfall.

While recreational campfires and fire pits were off-limits during the ban, outdoor barbecuing was still allowed.

Portland is expected to see rain showers throughout this week, including Tuesday afternoon.

Over the next few days, temperatures are forecasted to reach into the upper 60s, with nights and morning dropping into the low 50s.
