YORK — Virginia State Police have renewed a plea for the public’s help as authorities seek any information pertaining to the death of a woman who was found fatally shot on Interstate 64 last week.
Police said Tuesday that a 54-year-old Gloucester woman — who still has not been identified — was driving eastbound in a blue Honda CR-V on I-64 when she ran off the interstate and hit a guardrail. She was found at about 6 p.m. Sept. 24 between the 242 and 243 mile markers, near Busch Gardens. She was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center, where she died.
