A private hire taxi driver has had his licence revoked after he illegally picked up a fare outside Old Trafford and charged £35 for a four-mile journey.
Rehan Mirza, 42, was waiting in his Mercedes at the black cab rank on Sir Matt Busby Way after Manchester United' s Premier League match against Leicester City on November 10 last year.
He picked up a United fan, and his seven-year-old son, and took them to Piccadilly train station.
Mirza insisted the journey had cost £35.

The suspicious fan paid up but later complained to Trafford Council.
Private hire drivers are only permitted and insured to pick up pre-booked passengers.
