CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Wings2Water has named Iowa Project AWARE as its latest "Water Warrior" for its dedication to river protection and restoration in Iowa.

This accolade highlights the initiative's success in engaging thousands of volunteers in hands-on cleanups and educational activities.

Every summer, Iowa Project AWARE organizes a week-long river expedition, combining large-scale cleanups with lessons on conservation, water quality, local history, and ecology. Organizers say since its inception, the project has united communities and fostered a culture of environmental stewardship statewide.
