CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Orchestra Iowa broke records with its first Chamber concert of the season.

Bachtoberfest took place on September 26 at Brucemore in Cedar Rapids and on September 28 at the Riverside Festival Stage in Iowa City, attracting over 500 attendees. This marked the largest attendance for a chamber concert in the organization's history.

“It’s amazing to see so many new faces at a chamber concert. Last year we had around 700 attendees in total for all three of our chamber concerts, so to start the season out with a huge crowd like this is unbelievable. We are hoping to keep this moment going for the rest of our Shuttleworth Chamber Series,” said Orchestra Iowa CEO, Eric Marshal.
