A driver is facing an impaired driving charge after a semi-truck veered into the centre median on Highway 1 in Abbotsford and rolled over.

It happened shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday, near the Whatcom Road exit.

The truck and trailer ended up in un the eastbound lanes. It appears the truck was headed west when it left the highway and crossed into eastbound traffic before rolling.

The driver, a 66-year-old man, was held at the scene by Abbotsford Police for impaired driving, then taken to hospital with minor injuries. He was released pending further investigation, including lab results.
