A system outage caused lengthy delays at Niagara border crossings overnight Monday and into Tuesday.
According to the Canada Border Services Agency, the system outage caused delays in commercial processing at Canada-bound ports of entry at the Peace Bridge and Queenston-Lewiston Bridge.
“The outage has been partially resolved, allowing most shipment processing to proceed,” Guillaume Berube, CBSA media relations manager, said in an emailed statement Tuesday afternoon.
“Commercial drivers may continue to experience delays as we resume normal processing operations.”
The issue resulted in lengthy traffic delays along the I-90 in both Buffalo and Lewiston, N.Y.
