Dundee Township Park District’s plan to seek voter approval for a tax referendum to pay for a new swimming pool and other amenities has been postponed until an evaluation can be done of its total financial picture.
Initially, the idea had been to place a referendum question on the March 17, 2026, election ballot — paperwork for which would need to be submitted by Dec. 15 — until concerns were raised about the need for a full review of what the next five years look like, Executive Director Dave Peterson said.
“The park district is putting on hold any referendum discussions for now,” Peterson said.
