JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Mississippi Department of Education is trying to make it easier for those who want information about becoming a teacher.
They’ve redesigned the TeachMS.org website to be a one-stop shop for everything from salary information, job openings, and the licensure process.
MDE is also announcing a new round of grant funding for the Mississippi Teacher Residency program.
It’s intended to cover tuition and expenses for individuals seeking licensure in elementary and special education. It’s part of the state’s efforts to expand the teacher pipeline.
