HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - Harrison County is looking for a new administrator to run the day-to-day operations of the county after Robbie Collins resigned Monday, effective immediately.
Monday afternoon, District 5 Supervisor Nathan Barrett confirmed Collins’ departure with WLOX News.
Collins submitted his resignation as supervisors were meeting on other matters Monday morning. The board went into executive session and appointed former sheriff Troy Peterson as interim administrator.
Peterson served in the role after long-time county administrator Pam Ulrich retired. Collins took the job in spring 2024.
In his letter, Collins told supervisors he’s leaving “to pursue another career path that’s for the best interest for myself and my family.”
