SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Access to health care isn't always easy for families on Syracuse's West Side. But on Tuesday, Aug. 30, St. Joseph's Primary Care Center West hosted a Health and Wellness Day to bring those services directly into the community.

On Gifford Street, families lined up outside PCC West for free screenings and resources.

"Today, here we're having patient appreciation day, serving some lunch, doing some health screenings, checking blood pressures. We're offering fluoride treatments for the kids, actually, six months and older if they have teeth, feeding people, giving them some nutritional advice, and some healthy food choices.
