CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Today, Ohio State Representative Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) announced proposed legislation that would require schools to show a biological process of life video.
House Bill 485, known as the Baby Olivia Act is being introduced in Columbus this legislative session.
“The video would feature detailed animation or ultrasound imagery showcasing the early stages of human development in the womb,” Miller said in a news conference.
One such video already being used in some states is titled “ Meet Baby Olivia ,” and it shows the process of feralization and the development of an embryo.
The video shows an animated sperm fertilizing an egg cell and the narrator states, “This is the moment life begins.”
That statement is where the debate will rage.
