(Gray News) - The White House unveiled a direct-to-consumer website for Americans to buy medication, called “TrumpRx.”

The White House also announced a deal with Pfizer to lower the prices of its medications and invest $70 billion in United States manufacturing.

President Donald Trump made the announcement with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla at the White House on Tuesday.

Trump said under the agreement, Pfizer will charge most-favored-nation pricing to Medicaid and guarantee that pricing on newly launched drugs. That involves matching the lowest price offered in other developed nations.

According to the Wall Street Journal , TrumpRx will allow Americans to pay cash for certain drugs directly from the government website at a discounted price.
