PINEY FLATS, Tenn. — A Piney Flats man has been arrested after a stabbing late Monday night, according to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a home in the 200 block of Piney Flats Road around 10:07 p.m. on Sept. 29. When they arrived, officers found a man, identified as 20-year-old James Dylan Murray of Piney Flats, and took him into custody, the SCSO said in a news release.

Another person, who was not identified in the release, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, authorities said.

Detectives charged Murray with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and criminal attempt. He was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning. No bond has been set.
