LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
A Liberty Township man has pleaded guilty to stealing government funds and money laundering, federal officials said.
According to the IRS Criminal Investigation office, Allante Foster, 31, used a stolen and altered U.S. Treasury check for $100,000 that was meant to refund a Texas business for overpayment of 2020 employee taxes. Advertisement
Foster was accused of altering the check to reflect payment to a company he controlled and then depositing the check into his account.
The IRS stated that Foster made three separate withdrawals of cash within days of depositing the fraudulent check.
Foster was indicted in May 2025, and his sentencing is scheduled for January 2026 in Dayton, Ohio, the IRS said.
