Cowboy Kent Rollins was a chuck wagon cook from Oklahoma long before he became a YouTube sensation with more than 6.7 million followers across social media and a cookbook author with his own food and apparel brands.

This fall, he’s the star of a new Outdoor Channel show, “ Cast Iron Cowboy ,” which premiered on Sunday. The show follows Kent and his wife Shannon Rollins as they travel to ranches feeding cowboys in their 1876 Studebaker chuck wagon. He’ll be serving his cast iron meals while focusing on cowboy traditions, history and storytelling.

“We wanted to showcase the American rancher and the American cowboy and the heritage and the lifestyle that they have,” Rollins said in a recent phone interview. “I want people to know it’s not it’s not a dying art.”
