BRADENTON, Fla. ( WWSB ) - The School District of Manatee County and the teachers’ union have reached a tentative agreement for the 2025-2026 school year, it was announced Tuesday.
The Manatee Education Association, which represents teachers and paraprofessionals, said the new pact will be reviewed by teachers and paraprofessionals, and once ratified, the Manatee County School Board.
“I deeply appreciate the dedication and collaboration shown by both the district and MEA bargaining teams,” said District Superintendent Dr. Laurie Breslin in a statement.
“We are optimistic about the next steps and look forward to presenting this to the School Board for their consideration.”
