No one was injured when a crew member from McKeil Marine’s Kathy McKeil fell into the water in Thunder Bay this past July, says the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) of Canada .

A post on the agency’s investigation website said the 179.33-metre-long general cargo vessel was approaching the Superior Elevator dock when the incident occurred.

During mooring operations, a crew member was being transferred to the dock using a landing boom — a device designed to move personnel from the vessel to shore. While handling the landing rope, another crew member lost their grip, causing the person being transferred to fall into the water.
