ShaColbe Malon, Q’s mother, watched nervously as firefighters worked to free her son. The crew kept Malon and Q calm with lighthearted banter as they used the Jaws of Life to pry open the bars.
Despite Malon’s initial worry, her son was freed without injury. After the rescue, the department offered Q a tour of its engine and a photo with the crew as a reward for his bravery during the ordeal.
