A Virginia man is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated malicious wounding after allegedly setting a Danville City Council member on fire . The incident occurred on July 30, when Shotsie Michael Buck-Hayes reportedly poured gasoline on Lee Vogler and ignited him inside his office at Showcase Magazine.

During a preliminary hearing on Tuesday (September 30), Danville Police Sergeant Gerrit Clay testified that Buck-Hayes admitted to setting Vogler on fire, claiming Vogler had an affair with his wife. However, the truth of this allegation remains unclear.
