NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Video shows an officer with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement 'violently attacking' journalists at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan on Tuesday morning, according to the New York City Comptroller Brad Lander.

Social media posts by Gothamist reporter Arya Sundraram and freelance photojournalist Stephanie Keith seemingly confirm the alleged assault on the journalists.

The reporters from media outlets, including amNewYork and the Anadolu Agency, were documenting the arrests of individuals attending immigration court proceedings, according to New York City Council Member Tiffany Cabán.
