Southern California will see a pattern of night and morning low clouds this week, thanks to a series of weak weather systems. Skies will clear in the afternoons, but temperatures will stay cooler than usual, with highs mostly in the 70s near the coast and 80s in the valleys and Inland Empire, according to the National Weather Service office in Los Angeles.

A brief warm-up is expected on Thursday before another round of cooling arrives over the weekend.
