ROCKY HILL, Conn. — Connecticut State Police are still working to solve a double homicide from last May in Oxford.

This week, they announced a new reward for information relating to who killed David Rivera and Carlos Calderon. On May 30, 2024, they were found in a burning car just off of Route 34.

Investigators from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told FOX61 David died of a gunshot to the head, while Calderon from "homicidal violence of unknown type".

"Really heinous act, right? There's no question right? That we have a calculated, premediated homicide of these two young men," Chief State's Attorney Patrick Griffin said.
