ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- A Rome native killed in the line of duty while working as a Syracuse police officer got a special dedication in the City on Tuesday.
At a ceremony on Tuesday, September 30, a stretch of State Route 46 and Black River Boulevard was dedicated by Senator Joe Griffo and Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon to Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen.
Jensen was killed during a standoff in the Town of Salina last April, along with Onondaga Sheriff's Deputy Lieutenant Michael Hoosock.
