Ana Burilovic from CU Buffs volleyball named Big 12 Player of the Week

It was one of the most rewarding weekends in recent memory for the Colorado volleyball team.

And for that, Ana Burilovic has reaped a couple of awards.

After her standout performances during CU’s impressive road sweep through Utah, Burilovic on Tuesday was named the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the week. The junior outside hitter also was named the national player of the week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The weekly honor is CU’s first since rejoining the Big 12 last year, and it’s the first since current junior Lily Dwinell was named the Pac-12’s freshman of the week in 2023. Burilovic is the eighth CU player to win the national AVCA weekly honor, and the first since Alexa Smith in 2017.
