The Northern Regional Indicator jumped 117 cents a kilogram (clean) to 1493c/kg on Wednesday last week.

Likewise, the Eastern Market Indicator bounced 109c/kg to 1453c/kg - its highest point since June 2022.

The sharp rise put the trade on edge, with many unsure whether prices would hold or retreat.

However, momentum pushed on this week, as the Northern Regional Indicator climbed another 94c/kg to 1587c/kg at Tuesday's close.
