On Tuesday at 3:56 p.m. a beach hazards statement was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Thursday at 5 a.m. for Cayuga County.

The weather service adds to expect, "Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions."

"Strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions," explains the weather service. "Stay out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions."
