The Laramie County Coroner's Office is asking for the public's help in solving a decades-old John Doe case.

According to Coroner Rebecca Reid, the John Doe was found dead in a motel at 1719 Central Ave. in Cheyenne, presently The Downtowner Studios, on April 11, 1977.

Overdose Death

"No foul play was involved," Reid told KGAB Radio.

According to a newspaper article Reid shared with KGAB Radio, Roger Radomsky, the coroner at the time, said the man was the victim of a lethal dose of barbiturate and listed Niagara Falls, New York as his home when he registered at the motel.

Radomsky said it appeared the man, who he estimated to be about 55 years old, had been dead for about two days when he was found by a maid.
